Ava & Ashton

Ava and Ashton are three years apart, and they are some of Leo's favorite playmates. In my eyes, Ava is a mini version of her mom (Sarah) and Ashton is his dad's (Rick) twin.
I loved this old chest that Sarah had, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use it in their session.
Ava loves having her picture taken...

Mini Rick...Mini Sarah...Ashton was born on St. Patrick's Day. You can see the Luck 'O The Irish in his eyes.
Ava creating a masterpiece...
This is my favorite shot of Ashton.
And my favorite of Ava.

James

I had the opportunity to photograph my cousin's grandson the other day and all I can is What A CUTIE!
Gerber baby anyone?
He loved the ball room...
Smiling at Mama...I love this one...full of drool.

Zach

Here are a few images from Zach's two-year photo shoot. He was very busy when I arrived at the shoot...busy enjoying and exploring life.
Babies and children are tops on my list of favorite photography subjects. It is so fun to capture the innocence in a baby's gaze and the curiosity in a child's eye.
Zach has THE coolest toy ever...a motorized Jeep! I want one in purple!
He got such a kick out of driving his Jeep...

Leo's 1st Birthday Party

Leo had his very first Batman birthday party last weekend. He was in HEAVEN...loved every minute of his big party day.A friend painted this version of Batman for Leo's party...
Remember the cake from my Aunt Betty's birthday? My cousin Karen made another one of her specialties just for Leo...
With a Joker smash cake to match...
Me and my boy. I just want to thank all of my family and friends for making Leo's 1st birthday so special. You all rock! Love you, Faye

Noah's Christening

Here are some of my favorite shots from Noah's christening. I met Noah when he was just six weeks old - I can't believe how fast he is growing!

He is naturally a happy baby, so it wasn't too difficult to get some smiley shots; however, I do have to give credit where credit is due. Noah's mom and grandma were able to bring out some of his biggest smiles and cutest giggles.
Maggie, you have a great family! Thanks for a fun day. Looking forward to Zach's 2 year session.

I'm Back!

Okay, so technically I never went anywhere; however, in looking at the date on my last blog I feel like I have some explaining to do. What have I been doing for the last 22 days? Well, lots of things. Here are my excuses for not blogging (in no particular order):
  • I've been hanging out with Leo and literally watching him grow before my very eyes. He is walking now and keeping me on my toes. He gets such a kick out of himself as he stumbles around the house. His birthday was last Thursday and his party was Saturday. I'll blog about that later.
  • I've been working. I photographed a christening in June and I have some more shoots coming up in the next few weeks. Again, I'll be blogging about those later. Also, I joined a professional organization: Professional Photographers Association of Northern Illinois (PPANI).
  • I've been on hold. Okay, so I was only on hold for about a day with Hewlett Packard. I'd prefer not to spread bad Karma in my blog, so I'll just say that I had computer issues. I won't be blogging about that issue; however, I will be offline for a few days next week while my computer goes back to HP for some repairs. On a lighter note, if you ever have computer issues, call the Geek Squad! They are very friendly, and they know computers inside and out!

Well, I think I've pretty much covered all of my reasons for being MIA this past month. I hope you have been enjoying your summer. Stay tuned for more photos and more news from my end.
