New colors, true colors

No, you're not lost. I've just made some aesthetic changes to my blog. Stay tuned as I try out new colors and new looks. By the end of summer (hopefully much sooner), I hope to have my very own website up and running, as well as a new look for my blog. ;)

Outdoor Lighting

Monday was a great day for me. I went to Bloomington, IL for Jeff Dachowski's AWESOME outdoor lighting workshop. We spent 8 hours working with models and different lighting situations - very hands on.
I just loved this dress

Can you tell they are twins?
I learned so much, thank you Jeff! Also, thanks to Jackie Haggerty for organizing the workshop and hosting us in her studio (Studio J in Bloomington, IL). I had such a blast with all the photographers, especially my good friends Kelly and Leigh.

The Details

My cousins recently threw a birthday party for my great aunt Betty at Beijing Restaurant in Glen Ellyn. The restaurant was full of fun details so I went on a mini photo safari.

Baby Dallas continued

Here are some more images from my nephew's birth day.
I was lucky enough to be in the room when Lexi met Dallas for the first time. She walked into the room slowly and checked everybody out, and then she RAN to see her baby brother.
Lexi is a veeeeeeeeeeery protective big sis.
Sweet dreams little one. See you soon!

Baby Dallas is here!!!

I have a nephew! Dallas Hawk Licari arrived just after noon today, and we are so excited to have a new member of the Licari clan. He was due last Friday, but he just wasn't ready to come out so he decided to stay put and grow...and grow...and grow. He grew to NINE pounds TWO ounces, 22 inches long! Kelly's doctor induced labor this morning around 8 a.m. Mama and baby are doing well. I'll post more photos later. For now, here's a sneak peak of Leo's new buddy. Look at all that hair and those adorable little lips!

The Big 3-0 continued

It's official, I'm old...You gotta love Shoebox cards.

My 30th birthday came and went, and I survived. I received this UNBELIEVABLE flower delivery from Jay's dad and step mom. The lilies smell so sweet...I love them!

Turning 30 was actually a lot of fun thanks to Jay, Leo, friends, and family. Jay took the day off to be with me on Friday. We went to Biaggi's for lunch with our good friends Michelle and Andy and their daughter Peyton (Leo's future wife). They gave me these BEAUTIFUL flowers and treated us to lunch. You guys are the best! Thanks for a great day - looking forward to Tuesday!
Yesterday I headed down to Kentucky/Ohio for my good friend Liz's bridal shower. We celebrated her upcoming wedding and my birthday last night at Longworth's in Mt. Adams.
I brought my little Nikon point and shoot camera out with me last night. I may post some of those images later this week. For now, I just want to thank all of my friends and family for making me feel so special on my birthday (and all throughout the year). I love you guys!

The BIG 3-0

It's coming guys...good-bye to my twenties and hello to the next chapter in my life: my thirties! My birthday celebration began about 2 weeks ago when my mother-in-law threw me a party. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Dee had a chocolate chip ice cream cake for me. Underneath the flames you can see the message, "Happy 30th Faye"
I think Lexi was eyeing the fire extinguisher in this shot...
I needed all the help I could get blowing out the candles because Dee bought the kind that re-light :O

Friday is the big day. I guess turning 30 isn't so bad. I'm pretty lucky because I have a perfect husband, an awesome group of friends, a great family, and, of course, I have a precious little boy.
